Transcorp Hilton Abuja has appointed Ahmed Abdelghafar as the hotel manager. Previously, Abdelghafar served as the hotel’s director of business development in 2016 after which he completed the Hilton General Manager Training Program successfully in 2016.
In his new role, he will oversee the daily operations of the hotel in addition to leading the commercial team.
Abdelghafar brings international hospitality leadership experience spanning more than 14 years with Hilton. During this period, he held a number of managerial roles in front office, revenue and business development in Egypt, Indian Ocean and Nigeria.
Ahmed, an Egyptian national, gained experience at the 912-key Hilton Hurghada Long Beach in Egypt where he held various positions including front office manager and revenue manager. From 2011 to 2013, he had a successful tenure as cluster revenue manager for three Hilton hotels in Seychelles. He then set up the first business development cluster in Indian Ocean where he held the position of cluster director of business development for the three Hilton properties in Seychelles from 2013 until 2015.
