The food and beverage industry continues to grow throughout Dubai, with 473 new food outlets opening in the first half of 2018, according to figures released by Dubai Municipality’s food safety department.

It’s an increase of 7% over the same period last year and Sultan Ali Al Taher, acting director of the food safety department, said that most of the new food establishments are located in the new areas of Dubai.

The number of new F&B locations is expected to grow in the city ahead of the Expo 2020, with a significant increase in the immediate run-up to the world event.
