Cvent has signed on to support the upcoming Hotelier Middle East: Great GM Debate 2018.
Cvent vice president of marketing Sandeep Nagpal said: "At Cvent, our mission is to create the technology that powers the human connection and the Great GM Debate offers a unique opportunity to engage with the best of the region’s hotel industry face-to-face. Nagpal believes the upcoming Expo 2020 presents unique challenges to hotel industry in the region.
He said: "We have to talk about Expo 2020 when we consider the unique challenges – as well as opportunities – faced by UAE hotel GMs this year. Here are a few: standing out among the rise in competition due to Expo 2020, generating MICE business pipeline to ensure success after Expo 2020, and maintaining strong occupancy and RevPAR amidst current hotel builds and expansion ahead of Expo 2020."
In terms of products, Cvent will be focusing on Business Intelligence and has made substantial improvement to its core product lines including, Cvent Supplier Network (CSN), Business Transient and Passkey.
Cvent also plans to hire 1,000 this year alone in addition to opening two new office locations in Germany and Dubai.
