The international school for butler administrators and household managers is set to open its first Middle East institution on board the Queen Elizabeth 2 (QE2) and will provide a ten-day butler’s course
The school, the first British Butler Institute in the region, will welcome its first students on board the royal ship for a ten-day butler’s course coached by what the school says are some of the world’s most talented butlers.
The course is designed to provide butler administrators, household personnel, hotel front office staff and private jet and yacht crew the advanced knowledge and tools to learn or further develop the art of service etiquette.

Founder of the British Butler Institute and former Butler to a number of royal households, principal Gary Williams, said: “We are very excited to be providing such a unique learning facility for those employed within the industry and even for those who would like to improve their etiquette and hosting skills for personal reasons.“
Established over 20 years ago, the British Butler Institute is present in 16 locations world-wide and operates in some of the world’s most popular tourism destinations, including the UK, Singapore, China, India, Italy and Mexico.
The wide selection of courses cover everything from polishing shoes and packing a suitcase, to food and beverage service etiquette, flower arrangements and interacting with VVIPs.
