Fairmont Dubai has become the first hotel in the Middle East to house a barrel of Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Tennessee Whiskey.
The unique oak charcoal mellowed single barrel contains 256 bottles of the premium American whiskey.
Each bottle shares the same number found on the giant oak barrel.
Operations manager Hugo Montanari from the hotel’s The Exchange Floor, home to The Cigar Bar where the cask is located, said: “The barrel is synonymous with quality and craftsmanship and the producers of this product were innovative enough to come up with this great concept.
“We purchased it as it is an internationally recognised whiskey that resonates very well with our clientele.”
The barrel took four months to travel to Dubai by ship and it is the first time one has been sold outside North America.

“The barrel was acquired in order to to remain consistent in our beverage offering and it is also a great fit with The Cigar Bar, where it is showcased,” explained Montanari.
Each barrel is specially selected by Jack Daniel’s master distiller Jeff Arnett and is priced at AED 35,000.
“It nicely compliments our display of fine cigars and private drawers of our patrons' favourite cigars,” added Montanari.
