Wataniya Airways has announced its participation at Arabian Travel Market next week (May 5-8).

As Kuwait's first and only premium service airline, Wataniya Airways chairman and managing director Abdulsalam Al Bahar said the event provided the opportunity to connect with the region's travel trade.

"We are delighted to be attending our first Arabian Travel Market and are looking forward to meeting the travel industry and forging new partnerships," he said.

The airline began operations at an unfortunate time due to the drop in passenger demand, when it launched its commercial flights in January, 2009.

But it has confirmed that new destinations will be added to its summer schedule, in addition to its established routes from Kuwait to Dubai, Bahrain, Beirut and Cairo.
