EWA Hotel Apartments signed a management contract with Al Hamra Palace Group for eight new properties in Saudi Arabia at ATM, more than doubling its previous offering of seven hotels.

The eight properties are operational and spread across Riyadh City and Jeddah.

EWA, a subsidiary of HMH – Hospitality Management Holdings – has and additional six projects under development in Saudi Arabia and one in Syria. Three of these properties are expected to open by the end of 2009, with the remaining completed by March 2010.

HMH chief executive Michel Noblet said EWA’s range of accommodation would be lucrative to international and local clientele, particularly during the current economic downturn.

"Serviced apartments offer the best value for money as these provide five-star comforts at mid-market prices," said Noblet.

"We look forward to a long-term understanding with Al Hamra and are committed to developing exclusive serviced apartments that cater to both short- and long-staying leisure and business travellers at competitive rates."

EWA currently has seven hotel apartments across Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
