The 24/7 news station France 24 has named the GCC as having the greatest growth potential, as the channel seeks to increase its coverage across the globe.

Commenting on the news that France 24 now reaches over 670,000 hotel rooms, VP worldwide distribution Philippe Rouxel said: "Dubai and the Middle East are France 24’s top priorities. We are glad to say that the channel can be viewed at the Burj al Arab, the Atlantis, the Address, the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, the Emirates Palace and other top five-star hotels."

"Our continuous commitment and presence with our business partners, including hotels but also airline companies, and service providers has led us to support activities that are targeting these partners," added key account manager Arnaud Verlhac.

"This was translated through our sponsoring of the internet café at the recent Arabian Travel Market, as well as the cocktail party organised by the Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne which gathered its members in Dubai last month."

Both Rouxel and Verlhac reitterated that, in spite of economic conditions, France 24 would continue to support the regional hospitality industry and major trade events, through all available medias.

“Our internet site shows traffic of five million unique visitors every month, increasing by 92% in one year”, said Verlhac.

“This is why we offer our hotel partners a listing of their property and grant them extra visibility on FRANCE24.com on our special travel page," she concluded.
