The man responsible for Park Inn’s Middle East debut, Fuad Mansoor, reveals why opening this property for The Rezidor Group is his greatest achievement to date

I have worked with The Rezidor Group for 21 years and held the following positions at the Diplomat Radisson SAS Hotel in Bahrain prior to my current appointment a year ago:

What do you consider to be your greatest achievements?

Playing the major role in opening the first Park Inn hotel brand in the Middle East. Being involved as a project manager of Park Inn Al Khobar (liaising with the owner) included planning, construction and set-up, interior designs, etc; this has opened the door to expand my professional experience.  

What impact has your company had on the Middle East hospitality sector?

It is one of the fastest growing hotel companies in the world, with different brands that cater different clientele, and is a people company with dedicated programmes that help people grow and develop.   

What are your priorities and ambitions? 

My priorities are my family and my kids; my ambitions are for further career growth and to eventually have my small catering business

Who has been your inspiration in the industry?

There are a few but Mr. Abdulrahman Al Morshed has influenced and inspired me the most.

What was your first job?

I was a mechanical machinist.


If you weren't a hotelier, what would you be?

A mechanical engineer

How would your employees describe you? 

A caring and kind person, leniently tough (as a superior)
