The carrier has been dubbed ‘Air Arabia Egypt’, and will mark Air Arabia’s third base of operations, adding to its already established hubs in the UAE and Morocco.

The joint venture will aim to build on the airline’s current offering of 57 destinations, and further develop Egypt’s already burgeoning travel and tourism sector.

“On behalf of the Air Arabia Group, I am delighted to announce this new partnership... which will expand Air Arabia services in Egypt and across the wider Europe, Middle East and Africa region,” said Air Arabia chairman Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al Thani.

“Through this new partnership, we look forward to replicating the success Air Arabia has already achieved from its existing hubs”

The new venture will follow Air Arabia’s current low-cost business model.
