Following the runaway success of last night’s Hotelier Middle East Awards, which saw close to 600 hoteliers gather for the ceremony held at the Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai, plans are already underway to make next year’s event even bigger.

From March 2010, Hotelier Middle East will open the search for the industry’s top performers and unsung heroes.

Nominations will be sought from even more countries across the Middle East and from more market segments.

To encourage yet more hoteliers to get involved with the Awards, Hotelier Middle East will produce a full and detailed guide to nominating that will be available early next year.

Hotelier Middle East editor Louise Oakley said: “The support we received for the Hotelier Middle East Awards 2009 was fantastic, with more than 1500 nominations received. We want to build on this for next year’s event and will be targeting general managers across the Middle East to ensure they consider nominating their outstanding team members.

“We have already received enquiries from people wishing to nominate for next year’s Hotelier Middle East Awards and will endeavor to make the nomination process as simple as possible in order to beat the record number of nominations that were made this year.”
