Cooking classes at Le Méridien Dubai’s L’atelier des Chefs are set to take on a gourmet flavour.

The culinary school concept has signed a deal with gourmet food supplier Ze Blue Box, which will see the outlet host a class every month where students will be taught how to prepare two dishes incorporating fine ingredients.

The aim, according to L’atleier des Chefs, is to no longer limit the art of professional gourmet cooking to the kitchens of fine-dining outlets.

L’atelier des Chefs manager Baptiste Aubour said: “We see that the people in Dubai have a strong passion for the finer things in life, especially cuisine, however, there seems to be a belief that gourmet food can only be prepared by qualified chefs.

“We are actively working to dispel this myth and have no doubt that our monthly classes with Ze Blue Box products will enable our students to recreate their favourite culinary delicacies in their own kitchens, redefining the concept of a home-cooked meal.”

Students will be taught techniques to help them prepare delicacies in their own homes in sessions of up to 16 students.

Founded in 2004 by Nicolas and Francois Bergerault, the first L’atelier des Chefs outlet was launched at Le Méridien Dubai in March this year.
