Phase one of Qatar’s first aqua park in Doha is set to open to the public in April 2010.

The first 100,000m² phase will feature a giant wave pool, lazy river and various slides and water shoots.

The park, which is being developed by Hala Group Enterprises, will also have a lagoon pool with fountains, light effects, rock-art works, shaded Jacuzzis, and a lazy river. Hala Group Enterprises general manager Ijaz Malik told Gulf News that the wave pool would create waves as high as 1.5metres.
