The 215 bedroom CitizenM Hotel in Amsterdam has appeared on guests’ radars by decking its five floors of bedroom corridors with a distinctive carpet.
The carpet, designed and manufactured by Desso, whose clients include Marriott Hotels and Virgin Atlantic, was taken from an aerial satellite image of the Dutch capital.

Guests are able to plan their route around the city as they walk the corridors of the hotel.
Desso managing director hospitality, marine and aviation Roland Jonkhoff said that special orders and interesting designs were what many hotels, conference centres and restaurants were looking for to make an impact with guests.
“At Desso, our team of designers works with architects and interior designers from all over the world, helping them to realise their design vision,” he added.
