Destination Management company Arabian Adventures has opened a new operations centre at Dubai Investment Park.

The facility was designed to support Arabian Adventures’ rapidly growing business, and will service business requirements for the next 20 years, according to a company statement.

It will also be able to accommodate a five-fold growth in Arabian Adventures’ fleet of vehicles including coaches, medium-sized buses, mini buses, private cars, four-wheel-drives and luggage trolleys.

Company senior vice president Frederic Bardin said the site would “allow us to consolidate our existing facilities into one new purpose-built centre”.

“This will create significant efficiencies in our operations and will allow us to grow even further in the future,” Bardin said.

“We are predicting an annual increase in business of 10 to 15%.”

According to research from the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), annual travel and tourism revenues in the region will increase by 89% during the next 10 years and will be worth some US $279 billion by 2016 alone.

The industry already accounts for 21% of Dubai’s GDP and is expected to continue to grow.

Arabian Adventures said it was “expecting to capitalise on this growth”.

“The location at Dubai Investment Park is perfect as it provides easy access to all of the emirates, in addition to Dubai and the new airport, placing us in a position to offer our customers the best service ever,” Bardin added.

The new facilities include two buildings totalling 3500m² of built-up area housing a warehouse; office area; staff briefing, training and meeting rooms; a five-storey car park for 400 cars; inspection bays; and vehicle washing areas.

It will also provide ancillary staff amenities such as male and female prayer rooms, a cafeteria as well as showers and rest rooms for drivers.
