Genuine al fresco F&B outlets are “one of the biggest draws” a property can have, according to Cove Rotana Resort’s F&B director, Armin Weller.

 

In an exclusive interview at the beachfront property, which celebrates its first birthday this month, Weller told Caterer Middle East that the property’s bold approach to outdoor dining areas — with every outlet is either wholly or significantly outside — had paid off.

“Most people notice and mention them to us,” he said.

“Other properties may have to try to recreate an outdoor environment…Here we’re working with the real thing: the real air, the waves breaking, that’s not something you can imitate,” he reasoned.

“People say normally they take a week to rewind, but here it takes just two days; and it’s wonderful that our outlets can give them that feeling.”
