Jamie’s Italian - a 290-seater restaurant complete with a pasta bar and mezzanine - will open in Dubai Festival Centre in late November.

Oliver’s Italian brand has been a major success in the UK with 15 outlets.

The move follows the appearance of UK celebrity chefs Gordon Ramsay and Gary Rhodes who have successfully exported their brands Verre and Rhode’s Mezzanine to Dubai.

Announcing the move Simon Blagden, managing director, Jamie's Italian International said: "Jamie's Italian has been a huge hit with people everywhere we've opened. Our beautiful, affordable, delicious food and great service have made us the envy of the high street so it's very exciting to be able to open in Dubai and bring our concept to the people of the UAE."

Philip Evans, Director of Commercial & Retail Leasing at Al Futtaim Group Real Estate (AFGRE) said that the opening will bring an authentic Italian food experience to Dubai.

“The restaurant will be located at Festival Centre's Marina Pavilion, where guests will have the opportunity to experience genuine Italian food in sleek and relaxing waterfront surrounds,” he said.

Faisal Jawad, chairman of Jawad Business Group, the master franchisee for the GCC, said that Oliver's restaurant would bring an added dimension to dining in Dubai.

"Dubai Festival City is the perfect location as it has shown itself as a dining destination with Festival Centre fans and its community of discerning residents."
