Dubai’s Bin Zayed Group is planning to enter the tourism sector in 2011, the company’s chairman has said.

“We are focusing on tourism. This is the new sector we are getting into that we find very interesting,” HE Sheikh Khaled Bin Zayed Al Nehayan told Arabian Business on the sidelines of a conference in Dubai.

Any tourism projects would be based in the UAE, he said, but declined to elaborate further.

The family conglomerate, which has 5,000 employees, has existing investments in construction, real estate and energy.
