Simple rule if your forecast your expenses to grow (Salary, Housing, Recruitment, Visa, Medical cost), at least increased all your sales prices the same way for your rooms, your spa, your f&b...etc. This will prevent you on your p&l exercise. So many hotels are scared because they think the client will not take the contract on a price increase, but there are so many hotels filling up rooms without thinking of their cost structure. Let your competitors run as such, and follow your profit strategy and not your revenues strategy. On another hand, the airline and hotel industry are running on petrol for energy (oil or generators running with oil). So if oil prices goes up, automatically utilities goes up. Only the airline industry apply surcharge fee while hotels are not increasing their prices.
