How can airlines prevent the spread of swine flu?

I think in light of the SARS outbreak, most people are more aware and authorities can control similar outbreaks much more easily. This will be over before we know it.

Jon is being ridiculously naive, as are a lot of others. I think this situation is worse than most people in this region are anticipating and could have a massive consequence on the travel industry.

This is a very fragile issue since we are dealing with a virus/swine flu, whatever one may give a name to it. No matter how much you try to take preventive measures, something is bound to happen, the airlines should tighten up the security for the sake of everyone's health. Many children who are very young may not be able to fight due to weak defence system in their body. No matter what WHO says, Airlines, Airports, Countries, everyone should do something more, take an extra step to stop its spread else we are in for something worse. Lets hope for the best!

What are the symptoms? I think I might have caught it. If it gets any worse the world will become flooded with "this little piggy went to market" jokes. Truly a scary situation.

The swine flu is starting to get out of hand now . When I got told that Tulsa out of the pop band N-Dubz had the swine flu I was gutted I was so upset . But one of the guys said one the news I new something like this was coming . Well if you new then why didn?t you start to get doctors making drugs to stop this illness . When people hear family has the swine flu people break down but when people find out it?s a singer that they love or support they don?t know what to do because they cant keep in contact to see if there alright . I was up all night watching the news and checking all the news sites trying to find out if Tulia had the swine flu and if she was going to be alright but it did not say. I think that they should tell us and put Tulia on the front of every paper telling us what?s going on and not just Tulsa tell us what?s going on because people are worried to death at what?s going to happen and how bad it is and who has the swine flu . They talk about it in papers but they don?t tell as much stuff as we all no they no . I think that all band shows like performances should be cancelled because pop bands or any bands or anybody who sings and does a concert, they touch hand they talk to people get pictures with people are around loads off people so that could get the flu around more faster but I hope and I mite not be the only one but I hope that sooner or later the swine flu could get put an end to it or bring out a stronger drug to kill the virus . I think officials at the airport should check everyone, who comes through the airport, by have an euipment that can detect the flu immediately on a person, this will go a long way to curb the spread
