Helma played a regional role for Inter-Continental Hotels ME when I joint Inter-Cont Dubai in 1993. I had the opportunity to train with her for one week. She is a true Housekeeper and inspires her staff to be the best. I will always look up to her.

I was honored to work with Khun Kachane as his former Manager and must say that I am not surprised to see him finally nominated which is more than deserved. Kachane brings Thai gentleness and perfection to the shores of Dubai and it is truley an experience to see him and of course the from him managed team tick on a daily basis. No matter what challenges had to be overcome - there were many! -or what horizons had to be reached - Kachane was and is certainly a vital part of the results reached. Allow me to extend my recommendation to Khun Kachane which does not talk about him or his brilliance much and would most likly never like to be on stage - Khun Kachane is a true Star which deserves the "Housekeeper Award 2009"!

The Hotel is always full and operates with limited number of fixed staff depending on a high number of casuals. his efforts are very evident as his base is next to my department and constantly I see communication briefing taking place for all shifts and have enjoyed watching him develop his " standard recipes" for all his set ups required for the various inventory. No doubt these tangible management tools have assisted Raul in delivering in detail guest expectations here which are very demanding. Guest often need rooms made up several times a day at any given moment. It is interesting to see that some of the anchors in the department are Saudi nationals who no doubt under Rual supervison will become the next generation of leaders.

Working closely with Ruhul and his department is always a rewarding experience. He is always open for suggestions, ready to share his insights and maintaining a clear communication with all parties. Under his wings, one can see new potentials growing to be very valuable managers to the hotel industry in the future. Apart from continuously developing his team, Ruhul introduces and communicates innovations and improvements in his field to maintain the hotel's ability serving our customer's needs. He is an asset to the rooms division we would greatly miss.
