I would like to wish all the chefs that were nominated well done and all the chefs that have been shortlisted all the best on the night and well done on all the hard work that goes into the into the industry growing the skills forward on a year to year basis.

I have eaten at most, if not all the restaurants Lionel has worked in around the world. His international experience, (especially the skills developed in CAIRNS) have seen him develop into a world class chef and manager. His influence flows through to front of house and the financial performace of each company. His skills, innovation and passion make him a stand out and a very deserving Chef of the Year.

Every restaurant needs to employ the likes of Lionel in order to stay ahead of the competition. As a customer, Lionel's food is UNFORGETTABLE. I rarely go back to the same restaurant as most rarely live up to expectations. I can honestly say, I would, and have done, flown overseas and gone out of my way just to have one of Lionel's meals. His talent for knowing the palette is unsurpassable. His presentation of his food makes the dish irresistable. I have also learnt Lionel's passion stems from a young child and over the span of his life [and he has a few years under his belt!], he has never wished to do anything else. I wish Lionel all the best in this competition. He would be a worthy winner.

Liang truly deserves this nomination and award, he has worked hard to create inspirational menus in the short time he has been here - we are all very excited to see what else he has up his sleeve! Good luck Liang - you are a winner already in our eyes :)

Chef Uwe is a pioneer Chef in Dubai. He has served the Dubai community since many years with his trend-setting culinary innovations, which always celebrated great success. I was Chef Uwe who lead the project of the "World largest Cake" in 1997. The cake weighted 74000 kg and was 2530 meter long. The cake was set up along the creek and was served to the public.It is recorded in the Guinness Book of Records.

Chef liang has been with us for a very shourt time. He has pruved his chef abilities remarkably well One of the promotions handled by him (Thai Chin)was very popular. He is also a very warm hiuman being helping other team members.

Chef Antony Galo Chef Galo is one of the best person I've ever meet in this industry.He is very supportive to his colleagues,cook delicious food of course,respect his associates.You're the best chef...good luck and you are already a winner!!!
