I think it's going to have an impact at the begining only but once the dust settles it will have no effect, European, British & American tourist or businessmen require a pre arranged visa to China but it never stopped them from visiting , If someone have some business or really wants to visit he will apply.

Massive own goal which will deter Westerners from visiting Qatar. Totally pointless action by a minority state.

Well done...That is great and hope other GCC countries do the same...they cant give all hard times to people for getting their visa and enjoy upon arrival visa evry where....Great......

What is the point of this mostly political act beyond raising awareness of Qatar as yet another 'difficult' Middle Eastern state? Its so typical of the knee-jerk reaction one has come to expect from, say Iran, but surprising for a progressive wannabe state such as Qatar. Such a waste of time and effort all round!!
