The mutilated body of Portuguese TV Journalist Carlos Castro has been found in a room at the InterContinental New York Times Square hotel in Manhattan.
Castro, 65, was bludgeoned to death and castrated, and his boyfriend — male model Renato Seabra — is currently being held in police custody, though the New York Police Department said that no charges had been filed against him.
Police said that Castro had received serious head trauma but the cause of death has not yet been established.

Rui Pedro Tendinha, a film critic who knew Castro said: “The way he died is causing a big commotion in Portugal”.
