A bizarre new hotel in the shape of a boat will be launched in London during the 2012 Olympic Games.

The unusual hotel will be perched on top of the Queen Elizabeth Concert Hall on the banks of the River Thames during 2012.
Guests stayign at the boat hotel, called A Room For London, will be expected to hoist a flag up the mast to indicate when they are aboard, and to keep a detailed log of their stay.

The designers of the building, David Kohn Architects and artist Fiona Banner said they set out to create something “playful, beguiling and thought-provoking.”
