Fashion designer Jason Wu has been named the second St. Regis connoisseur for Starwood Hotels and Resorts.
Wu will work as an ambassador for St. Regis by providing a modern fashion perspective for “the next generation of luxury travellers”, developing exclusive content for St. Regis website and creating new fashion experiences for guests.
Wu will collaborate on the Midnight Supper events around the world, a social ritual born when the brand's founding patroness Caroline Astor would entertain the exclusive elite group which defined
New York society during the Gilded Age.

The partnership with Jason Wu developed over the course of two years, when Wu showed his collection as a breakout designer at The St. Regis(R) New York during S/S 2010 New York Fashion Week. He has since stayed at St. Regios properties while travelling, and has referenced experiences while staying at St. Regis properties within his collections.

"The level of quality and attention to detail is the same as that of the Jason Wu Collection, and I look forward to collaborating with the brand on future projects."
Celebrated polo player Nacho Figueras was named the first ever St. Regis Connoisseur last year, and Wu now joins Nacho as the brand's second Connoisseur.
The first two St. Regis hotels are due to open in the Middle East this year; one in Abu Dhabi and one in Qatar.
