Emirates Palace's general manager believes the Korean market will become increasingly important to the region, as tourist numbers from the Far East continue to rise.

General manager Bugra Berberoglu was commenting on the fact that weekly flights now exist between Incheon in South Korea and Abu Dhabi International Airport.

The hotel noted that Q1 this year saw more than 3500 businessmen and tourists visit Abu Dhabi from Korea, an increase of 143% over Q1 2010.

"We are determined to have a strong presence in the Korean market in coordination with Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority to urge the Korean visitors and travellers to spend their holidays in the Emirates Palace Abu Dhabi, which stands out as one of the most important touristic attractions in the Middle East," he said.
