The Middle East is tipped to be pivotal to The Louvre Hotels Group’s expansion strategy, which will see the company open 28 hotels worldwide by the end of the year, increasing to a rate of 100 new hotels per year in five years’ time.

The group, an amalgamation of Louvre Hotels and Golden Tulip Hospitality Group, has already opened 42 hotels this year, and has made it clear that new openings are central to consolidating its presence in the European market and expanding into new areas such as the Middle East.

Currently central- and eastern Europe is one of the major regions the group is targeting for expansion. In recent months, this region has seen the opening of 10 new hotels; this development has tripled the number of rooms available on this market.
