An Omani tourist in Bangkok has been found dead in a bar complex metres from the street at the Mina Casa Hotel, Pattaya, according to media reports.
Hotel staff had reported seeing Bader Salim Rashid Al Damarki, aged 36, drinking heavily at the bar each evening since checking in at the hotel on October 8, local news agency Pataya One reported.
On Monday morning he was reportedly unable to go to his room and was left on a chair outside the hotel, later in the morning a cleaner found Al Damarki who had passed away.

Police told media the cause of death was thought to be heavy drinking, but a post mortem examination is underway.
