The 300-metre tall Torch Doha Hotel is now in soft opening at Doha’s Sports City in Qatar.

The tower originally held the flame that burned during the 2006 Asian Games in Qatar and has been designed to represent a “colossal torch”.

It is part of the 250-hectare Aspire Zone, a city created to attract local and international sport enthusiasts.

Hotel facilities include 51 floors of five-star accommodation totalling 167 rooms and suites; three restaurants, including a revolving restaurant on the 47th floor called Three Sixty; four levels of health club facilities with a cantilevered swimming pool located 80-metres above ground; and a top-floor viewing deck.

Guest rooms feature interactive LED TVs, a Media Hub phone system and a Smart pad in-room service menu.

The Torch Doha is owned by the Aspire Zone Foundation.
