Novotel World Trade Centre has achieved the EarthCheck Certified status under the EarthCheck Certification Programme managed by EC3 Global.

To gain the recognition, the hotel has met a number of key environmental standards relating to energy and water consumption, waste sent to landfill and community commitment.

The certification process involves either an onsite audit or offsite assessment by an EarthCheck-approved independent third party auditor.

They have demonstrated through a variety of initiatives, that their business and its employees can make a difference by reducing their environmental impact. The commitment they have shown by participating in the EarthCheck Programme and the achievements they have made within the programme set an example for other businesses to follow,” said Stewart Moore, CEO of EarthCheck in a statement. 

General Manager of Novotel World Trade Centre, Thierry Brinte, added: “The team at the hotel worked extremely hard to implement and manage the measures that have gotten us EarthCheck Certified. We are all very proud of this achievement, highlighting our commitment to the environment and supporting green tourism”.


The EarthCheck Programme is a worldwide benchmarking, certification and performance improvement system, assisting the travel and tourism industry to attain sustainability.
