Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group is looking to add a "deluxe tier" to its Radisson Blu brand which would be applied to its current flagship properties, Hotelier Middle East can reveal.

“One of Rezidor’s strengths is a small, carefully-selected and clearly defined brand portfolio. We feel that the deluxe segment offers a brand- and business-development potential and would be a good complementation to our existing brands,” area vice president for the Middle East and Sub Saharan Africa Mark Willis revealed.

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group currently manages three brands comprising upper upscale brand Radisson Blu, mid-market brand Park Inn by Radisson and lifestyle brand Hotel Missoni.

“Hotel groups will always respond to the markets’ and customers’ needs. As more and more people begin to travel it will be a natural progression to offer different brands to suit, for example we can already see this on a small scale with the dramatic increase in tourists from China and India,” explained Willis.

He also hinted at the future launch of a new brand within The Rezidor Hotel Group.

“We are already catering to this ever-increasing market through our F&B offerings, providing information in various languages and so on; providing a completely tailored brand is the next step,” Willis said.
