Radisson Blu has launched an online competition to let customers vote on their favourite hotels, giving them chances to win short breaks.
Starting June 11 each week until July 23, there will be a new category for customers to vote in, including Nature and Beaches, Motorbike and Cabrio Tour in Italy and France, Cultural Cities, Shopping and Design, Nightlife and Festivals, and Exotic Destinations.
Each of the 200 hotels across Europe, the Middle East and Africa is encouraged to use social media to promote what it can offer in terms of each category through text, images and video.
Customers entering must answer a multiple choice question about the hotel and argue why it should win that week’s vote. Hotels with the most votes become the Top Hotel of the Week and entrants with the correct answer and most creative arguments will win a short break for two people.
The short breaks include anything from a weekend Copenhagen focused on art and architecture to a culinary journey in Dubai.
John Kennedy, vice president of marketing and customer relationship at Rezidor, said: “We have thought about the things one really needs to breathe the true spirit of a city: experiences and places that will leave space for your own personal voyage of discovery.”
