Four Points by Sheraton Bur Dubai has announced the launch of a Portuguese restaurant, Piri Piri set to open in October 2012 this year.

The 120-cover rustic restaurant will include both indoor and al fresco dining, as well as a poolside bar. Piri Piri will be open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, serving a selection of classic Portuguese cuisine.

Sanjeev Gohlan, general manager at Four Points by Sheraton Bur Dubai, said: “We are looking forward to introducing a truly authentic Portuguese restaurant to the market – a new concept which we feel will be welcomed to the Dubai dining scene.”

Chef de Cuisine Luis Salgueiro, has joined Piri Piri directly from his native country, Portugal and will create and prepare authentic cuisine using his experience and accomplished culinary skills.

Typical dishes will include Seafood cataplana; a popular dish from the Algarve that includes fresh shrimp, squid and mussels cooked in exotic spices and served with rice. Another seafood-inspired dish available will be Amejioas a moda Algarvia; a bowl of steamed clams in a white grape and garlic sauce, and not forgetting the Frango Piri Piri; a signature chicken dish marinated in a homemade Piri Piri sauce.

“With chef Luis joining us from Portugal, Piri Piri will encompass the true flavours from the country’s rich and full-flavoured cuisine. Guests will experience Portuguese dining at its finest with excellent quality ingredients, attentive service, and exceptional value for money,” added Gohlan.
