September marked the first anniversary of operations at Kempinski Hotel & Residences Palm Jumeirah. During its first 12 months of operation the property exceeded projected targets for the first year, Kempinski said.

The property continues to operate with high occupancy levels, exceeding budgeted room revenue by 22% year-to-date.

Speaking at an event to mark the occasion general manager of the hotel, Burkhard Wolter, said it had been “a successful year”.

“We offer a coveted product in the luxury hospitality market in Dubai - unmatched space and privacy in an idyllic setting- and the overwhelming success of our first year of operations confirms this,” he added.

Kempinski hosted an exclusive event at the property’s Imperial Villa to thank those who have supported the property over the past year. The guest list included industry partners, VIP guests and Palm Jumeirah residents as well as Ulrich Eckhardt, president of Kempinski Hotels in the Middle East & Africa.

Eckhardt commented, “Kempinski was the first luxury brand to announce a hotel on Palm Jumeirah, the best location in Dubai. This property represents the success of our brand expansion in the UAE over the past fourteen years, which has been focused on operating stunning properties in key locations.”
