Kempinski Residences & Suites Doha has introduced a ‘green team’ as part of the group’s Green Inspiration programme.
The team will be led by general manager Wissam Suleiman, as well as Sirena Di Martino, who has been named as the property’s Green Champion.
The team will take on the responsibility of reducing energy and water usage, as well as set up and promote recycling schemes within the property.
“We are all very excited to participate in the Green Inspiration by Kempinski. Did you know that the ‘crown’ on top of our tower is lit up by low energy consuming LED lights?” Di Martino asked.
“In the coming months you will hear more news about our initiatives and our progress towards making our property eco-friendly. The first step is to make our guests and employees aware and conscious about their environmental behaviour and their effect on energy consumption both at the hotel and at home,” she added.
