The Al Habtoor Group has presented its latest developments, including the three-hotel Starwood complex to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

At The Al Habtoor Group head office on Al Wasl Road in Dubai, it showed the vice president and prime minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai plans for its resort, which includes three Starwood-managed hotels, and theatre and a complex.

The resort will have a total of 1600 rooms across a St.Regis, Westin and W, and is due to open in 2015.

It also showed HH Sheikh Maktoum its development on Palm Jumeirah – a Waldorf Astoria, comprising more than 320 rooms and due to open late in 2013.

In the past year, Al Habtoor Group has announced US $1.6 billion of investments in the hospitality sector.

Khalaf Al Habtoor, chairman of Al Habtoor Group, said: “It is a great honour to receive His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. We are blessed by his visit. It gives us a further incentive and additional drive as we progress in parallel with the UAE and the government’s vision.”
