Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel – Dubai has launched free wi-fi access throughout the property in response to "massive demand". 

General manager Scott Butcher said both leisure and business guests now seek convenient access to the Internet when they are travelling, a trend underlined by a recent Hotels.com survey that named free Wi-Fi as the priority requirement in terms of complimentary amenities, topping even breakfast.

The results revealed that 34% of respondents said free wi-fi was the number one factor in choosing a hotel, even for leisure breaks, rising to 56% for those travelling on business.

Only 11% said they would be willing to pay for internet access in a hotel, and overall, 66% said free wi-fi was the amenity they most wished would become standard in all hotels during 2013.

The survey by Expedia-owned Hotels.com website was conducted in 28 countries with 8600 respondents.
