Accor hotels has revealed that its online portal and reservation website, Accorhotels.com, achieved a 25% increase in traffic from 2010 to 2012, with more than 100 million visitors to the site in 2012.

The group also announced that the site, which registers 10 online bookings every minute and is available in 14 languages, will launch an Arabic and Turkish language version in 2013.

Accor online sales director Remy Merckx explained: “Accorhotel.com guarantees users the best available price and last room availability. Clients can also book additional services (champagne, express breakfast, late check-out) and other activities on site thanks to a specially generated pre stay email.”

Some of Accor’s other online strategies include its recently released mobile application that allows users to book stays at any of Accor’s 3,500 hotels in over 90 countries; exclusive sales dedicated to Le Club Accorhotels members and newsletter subscribers; as well as the continued development of games and contests for Accor’s Facebook page that currently has more than 200,000 fans.
