An industry source close to Hotelier has reported that Pragma Group could soon be launching Dubai’s first Cavalli-branded hotel.
Pragma Group’s marketing manager, Carine Abboud, refused to confirm or deny the report to Hoteliermiddleeast.com stating only that the group is gearing up to make a “big announcement “ around September 2013.
If the rumours about the hotel, bearing the name of Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli, prove to be true, it would be the first-of-its-kind in the UAE complementing the group's Dubai-based nightspot, the Cavalli Club Restaurant & Lounge located in the Fairmont Hotel Dubai.

Abboud would not be drawn on the specifics of the imminent announcement saying only that the Pragma Group will have “something to report” in around three month’s time.
The rumours come fast on the heels of Pragma Group’s unveiling of its Cavalli Caffe expansion plans, that will see the opening of outlets in 20 markets across the region, following the success of its first eatery in Beirut.
Its second Cavalli Caffe is set to open in Kuwait with further launches planned in the UAE, KSA, Qatar, Turkey, Egypt and Bahrain.
Adding to a busy year for the group, the bar team at Cavalli Club Restaurant & Lounge recently scooped the award of Bar Team of the Year at the 2013 Caterer Middle East Awards.
