Novotel Adagio Al Bustan Abu Dhabi, parent group Accor’s first Adagio property in the region, has announced key members the executive team ahead of its planned August 2013 opening.

Emma Golubeva is revealed as director of sales & marketing. A Belarusian national, Golubeva has more than 12 years’ experience in hospitality industry having previously worked in several international locations for companies such as Rotana and Millennium & Copthorne Hotels.

Cario-born Hazem Makled is appointed as Novotel & Adagio Abu Dhabi Al Bustan’s director of operations. He has over 18 years of experience in hospitality industry with companies such as Hilton International. Makled gained a Business Administration diploma from United States in 1992 and graduated in Law at Ain Shams University, Cairo in 1994.

Pierre Basmadjian is the new director of human resources. Basmadjian started his career in HR with the Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort and Towers in 2004, before working his way through the ranks at Rotana over a period of 10 years.

The hotel’s new executive chef is Akil Ahmad, who has worked for Hilton and Sofitel in a range of positions across Dubai, most recently heading at task force at the Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche.

Nancy Mendoza joins as executive housekeeper, a Filipino national with over 15 years’ experience in hospitality industry. In 2011, she was charged with handling two properties for Accor in Dubai as Housekeeping Manager: the 188-key Novotel Deira City Centre and the 165-key Ibis Deira City Centre.

Borja Molina has been appointed as Food & Beverage Manager. A vetran of many international posts, Molina was previously the assistant F&B manager Iberotel Miramar Fujairah.

The new front office manager is Ashraf Ramez. With 13 years experience under his belt, Ramez has worked for Conrad Hotels, Dubai World Trade Centre and Novotel and ibis World Trade Centre hotel.
