Coral Beach Resort Sharjah, UAE has released its half year results revealing the hotel’s occupancy levels have reached an average of 90% so far in 2013.

According to the hotel the strong half yearly performance is driven by the emirate's commitment to promoting itself as a family-friendly tourist destination, with events such as the Sharjah Light Festival and the Sharjah Water Festival enhancing the city’s appeal.

Coral Hotels & Resorts Regional General Manager Northern Emirates, Pierre Simo,n said: “We are absolutely delighted to achieve these results. Sharjah is growing in popularity as a tourist destination with arrivals at the airport up 13.6% last year to reach 7.5 million, while hotel guest numbers rose 8% to top the 500,000 mark according to the Sharjah Commerce & Tourism Development Authority figures.”

“Among these positive figures, the Coral Beach Resort Sharjah stood out with occupancy levels in the first half of 2013 nearly 20 points above the average in the city while achieving the highest RevPAR (revenues per available room),” added Simon.

The Coral Beach Resort Sharjah features 156 rooms, many with sea views, with the resort located on one of the emirate’s principal sand beaches and featuring a range of family-friendly leisure activities including a children’s pool, indoor playroom and complimentary Kid’s Club, as well as Clark Francis Tennis Academy, badminton, volleyball and two outdoor swimming pools.
