InterContinental Hotels Group has announced the opening of the Staybridge Suites Beirut, the first property of the extended stay brand in Lebanon.
Staybridge Suites Beirut becomes the third Staybridge Suites property in the Middle East, with the brand having first opened in Cairo in 2008 followed by a second property on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island. Six more Staybridge Suites are due to open over the coming years, with three more in the UAE, and one each in Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
IHG chief operating officer, Middle East, India and Africa, Pascal Gauvin added: “IHG has a long and rich heritage in Lebanon, dating back to 1961 when we opened our first hotel here. Staybridge Suites Beirut joins our broad portfolio of hotels in Beirut, which now includes three InterContinental hotels, a Crowne Plaza hotel and a Holiday Inn hotel.”

The hotel is located in downtown Beirut on Verdun street, within walking distance of the seafront promenade and local universities.
All the units in the 121-key hotel feature fully equipped kitchenettes, work-spaces and 32" LED TVs. Hotel facilities include a roof-top swimming pool; The Pantry, a 24-hour shop; complimentary Wi-Fi; the Laundry Room; secure underground parking; and gym facilities.
