Millennium & Copthorne Hotels has signed an agreement with Gulf Real Estate Development House Company K.S.C. to manage the new Millennium Hotel & Convention Centre, Kuwait.

The hotel become the group’s second property in Kuwait and will primarily be aimed at business travellers with dedicated business facilities and almost 4000 square meters of conference space.

Speaking about this new relationship Millennium & Copthorne Hotels Middle East & Africa president and CEO Ali Hamad Lakhraim Alzaabi said: “We are pleased to complement our existing hotel offering within Kuwait - the Al Jahra Copthorne Hotel & Resort, with this unique 5 star business hotel, which will be home to Kuwait’s conference and exhibition market.”

“We are confident this new hotel development will provide excellent cross selling opportunities for the group and continue to increase our brand awareness and guest loyalty within the region. We recognise the demand in Kuwait from the MICE market and it is our intention to create a first class destination for the business traveller and establish the property as the preferred business hotel in Kuwait City,” he added.

Located in the Salmiya area of Kuwait City, the hotel will have 307 rooms comprising of standard guest rooms, deluxe guest rooms, suites and serviced apartments. The hotel’s convention centre will comprise of almost 4000 square meters of meeting and conference facilities, including a 1080 square metres ballroom and several meeting room styles to cater for meetings and events of all sizes.

The hotel will also have multiple food and beverage outlets including an all day dining restaurant, in addition to an extensive banqueting facility for the Convention Centre. Additional leisure facilities will include a health club, spa and outdoor swimming pool.
