Commenting on his appointment, Redaelli said: “Having previously spent many years in the Middle East, I am thrilled to be back in this vibrant region that never ceases to impress. With the results of the Expo 2020 bid just around the corner in November, all eyes are fixed on Dubai; it's a great time to be on one of the most internationally recognised symbols of Dubai and the UAE, Palm Jumeirah.”
Redaelli will also oversee the second phase of the hotel’s expansion, construction of which is expected to restart in the coming weeks.
When it opens in the second half of 2015, the hotel will comprise 355 rooms including a royal suite, six presidential suites and eight villas. Hotel facilities will include temperature controlled swimming pools, a ballroom, a spa in partnership with French spa chain Cinq Mondes Spa Paris, a private cinema and a dedicated restaurant for children and teens for children and teens.
“The hotel will epitomise luxury and comfort staying true to Kempinski's signature European identity. The exclusive resort is positioned with the most discerning travelers in mind,” Redaelli said.
