Raffles Dubai has announced three promotions for members of its team.

Andrew Whiffen has been promoted from executive chef to director of food & beverage; Jessica Markham from assistant director of HR to director of human resources; and Jijo Paul from head butler to chief concierge.

British-born Whiffen studied at the Trade School for Chefs in Bournemouth Dorset, UK and now boasts more than 27 years of hospitality experience.

Successfully leading the culinary team for almost six years, he is now looking to share his years of experience with fresh ideas and exciting new concepts to the Raffles Dubai Food & Beverage department.

Markham has a Bachelor of Commerce in Hospitality Management and nearly a decade of hospitality experience. She began her career in Australia but moved to Dubai in 2006.

In her new role Markham will oversee all human resources functions within Raffles Dubai and continue to work in effectively streamlining the procedures and processes of the hotel.

Paul has more than 10 years of experience in front office in his home country of India and in the Middle East. He started his hospitality journey in the Taj Group of Hotels in 2004, before moving to the UAE to join Emirates Palace in 2006. Joining the pre-opening team of Raffles Dubai in October 2007 as butler, he was soon promoted and will now lead the concierge team.
