Dubai-based JA Resorts & Hotels has signed an agreement with the UK-based fitness company Speedflex to open the UAE’s first Speedflex Centre inside the JA Ocean View Hotel, Dubai.
The deal was signed by Speedflex ambassador, and former English Premier League striker Alan Shearer, with the gym due to open by Q2 this year.
Speaking about the signing, JA Resorts & Hotels chief operating officer David Thomson told Hotelier Middle East “JA Resorts & Hotels is, as a company, all about pushing the boundaries of innovation and offering our guests and the local community new and inventive solutions in hospitality, entertainment, dining and leisure.”

“We are proud to be associated with the Speedflex brand, which is backed by former England striker, Alan Shearer and promises a tailored, high intensity workout with reduced muscle soreness and rapid results,” he added.
The JA Ocean View Hotel, Dubai, located on the city’s JBR Walk, first opened in January, 2013 and soon afterwards revealed that it was operating at 91% occupancy.
