London nightclub Chinawhite, one of the most high profile names on the clubbing circuit in the UK capital, has refuted previous claims that it is set to open in Dubai this April.

Earlier reports had said the celeb favourite was scheduled to step into the UAE this year, although no location or its local operator's name was mentioned.

However, HotelierMiddleEast.com spoke to the London nightclub's representative, who denied these reports.

Chinawhite London managing director James Spallone said: "The Chinawhite London club is not involved or affiliated with the club reported to be opening in Dubai. The Chinawhite shareholders are treating the matter with the utmost importance, and are taking steps against the individuals concerned."

The original club was located between Piccadilly Circus and Soho and featured a number of VIP suites, soft bed-like lounging areas and prided itself on offering its guests utmost privacy and a sense of theatrical flair.

Kate Moss, Tom Cruise, Lindsey Lohan and Lily Allen were some of the famous names regularly spotted there, and the club’s exclusive membership was often priced at US $1200 for a year.

Inspired by London's earliest clubs dating back to the 1920s, the club reopened its new location opened in 2009 on Winsley Street, Fitzrovia.

It’s noted for its lavish furnishings that encompass the oriental styles of Bali, Java and Sumatra, and a bespoke service offering.
