Warwick International Hotels (WIH) and the Al Madaen Group have signed a management contract to manage and operate the first Warwick branded hotel in Qatar.

The first phase of the Warwick Doha Hotel, comprising 164 rooms and suites, is due to open this year, with the property’s full 250 rooms and suites open and operational by the end of 2017. The hotel will feature an art deco marble lobby, meeting and function space, an executive lounge, multiple F&B outlets, a spa and outdoor swimming pool.

Warwick International chief operating officer for MENA Jamal Serhan said: “This is the eighth hotel that will embrace the Warwick brand name in the Middle East region, all under managemen contracts, in less than three years.”

Al Madaen revealed that the total investment of the project will approximately be QR 400mn (US $110mn).

Warwick International Hotels (WIH) was launched in 1980 with the purchase of Warwick New York, with the WIH Group now including more than 55 hotels, resorts and spas worldwide.
