Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi will host the UAE Green Festival, a month long national campaign that aims to educate the public about the importance of sustainability.
The festival will run from March 16 to April 16, during which time, Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi will present a variety of activities to educate and engage with guests.
Essence, the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant will offer a sustainable green menu that will include locally grown fresh food produced from organic vegetables; while group sports activities such as aqua aerobics, RPM cycling and a beach run will be offered by Bodylines.
During the festival, the hotel will also encourage guests to participate in the annual Earth Hour challenge on March 29, which aims to generate energy and light in the hotel’s lobby while cycling to conserve energy.

Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi general manager Jorg A. Hauri said: “The countrywide celebration spearheaded by the UAE’s green growth and vision 2021 is a commitment to the sustainability of earth and its offerings. Beach Rotana is very proud to be part of this national campaign and looks forward to a month filled with sustainable educational activities.”
As part of the festival, Beach Rotana will also partner with sister property Park Rotana Abu Dhabi to plant ghaf trees in the city. The EHS team at the hotel has also worked with colleagues to create hand-crafted art products from recyclable items, which will be displayed in front of Rodeo Grill restaurant from March 30 to April 5.
